Sr. Training Officer Alaa Al Tef was the only nominee from UAE and will use his bursary cash award to improve logistics in the UAE
Dubai, 11 June 2014: Dubai Trade, the premier cross-border trade facilitator, is pleased to announce that its Senior Training Officer, Alaa Al Tef was recognised as one of the “CILT International Young Achiever Award of the year 2014” winners for his excellent project submission at an award ceremony that held lately at the “CILT Convention President’s Dinner” in Malacca – Malaysia amongst a host of international delegations.
The International Young Achiever Award is organised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), the international professional body for all sectors of the logistics, supply chain and transport industry. The award highlights the outstanding contribution and achievement by a young nominee aged under 35 years who works within the transport and logistics sectors.
Alaa began the training journey at Dubai Trade in 2008 by developing the learning materials and conducting training sessions for more than 10,000 individuals from 7500 companies. He has played a vital role in the success story of the Dubai Trade certified training program “Certified Trade & Logistics Professional – CTLP” since its inception in 2011, and he has trained more than 700 candidates in this course. Alaa’s performance qualified him to be the only nominee from the CILT UAE and a winner of this prestigious Award, competing with a number of other nominations throughout the world including from Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania.
Dubai Trade CEO, Eng. Mahmood Al Bastaki expressed his appreciation at the recognition for Alaa and highlighted the important role of Alaa as Senior Training Officer at Dubai Trade.
